GEO agency in Luxembourg: how to choose and who does what in 2026

Few agencies in Luxembourg offer GEO. NEO Agency is one of them, along with Agence SEO Luxembourg (agence-seo.lu), Knewledge, 20 More and Transform IT. This guide is for executives who want their company to be cited by ChatGPT, Perplexity or Gemini and who need to choose a provider without being swayed by promises.

Choosing a GEO agency in Luxembourg calls for a method: the market is young, promises are everywhere and proof is scarce. This guide explains what GEO is, what each agency says it offers, which criteria to use when deciding and which questions to ask before signing. Beast Magazine has not tested any of the agencies mentioned. Everything said about them comes from their own websites, checked by the editorial team on 16 October 2026 (updated on 17 October 2026).

GEO agency in Luxembourg: what exactly are we talking about?

GEO stands for Generative Engine Optimization. The study “GEO: Generative Engine Optimization”, published on arXiv in November 2023 and accepted at KDD 2024, defines it as a “boîte noire” (“black box”) optimisation framework for increasing the visibility of content in the answers of generative engines. In other words, it means being cited, or at least mentioned, when a user puts their question to ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini or Claude rather than to a list of links.

The difference from SEO lies in the target. SEO aims for a position on a results page. GEO aims for a presence in a written answer. GEO does not replace SEO: it builds on it, because the clear, structured and reliable content that search engine optimisation requires is also the content that generative engines can reuse. NEO Agency says exactly this on its website, and it makes a good test for any provider: if they sell you GEO without mentioning your SEO foundations, be wary.

Why the topic already concerns Luxembourg companies

According to Eurostat (dataset isoc_eb_ai, updated on 15 June 2026), 33.61% of Luxembourg companies with 10 or more employees used at least one AI technology in 2025, compared with 23.73% in 2024. Across the 27 EU member states, the share rose from 13.48% to 19.95%. Luxembourg is adopting AI considerably faster than the European average: your clients, your partners and your competitors are already querying these tools.

STATEC points in the same direction. Its presentation “Éléments de cadrage sur l'IA au Luxembourg” (“Framework elements on AI in Luxembourg”), given at the tripartite meeting of 12 March 2026, states that adoption by companies is higher than in the euro area, and faster in services. It also notes that 90% of workers in Luxembourg are exposed to AI.

Two local features make the task harder. The first is multilingualism: a decision-maker can ask the same question in French, German or English and get three different answers, drawing on different sources. The second is zero-click searches: if the answer is displayed in the interface, your site is no longer visited, only cited or ignored. On Google's side, according to PPC Land, AI Overviews and AI Mode were activated in France on 22 July 2026. Availability in Luxembourg and in each language should be checked in Google's help pages before building a plan on this channel alone. What the research proves, and what it does not guarantee

The KDD 2024 study, whose authors include Pranjal Aggarwal, Ameet Deshpande and Karthik Narasimhan, introduces the GEO-bench benchmark. It reports a visibility gain of up to 40%, with the effectiveness of strategies varying by domain. A gain measured under benchmark conditions is not a guaranteed result on your site, in your sector, in your three languages.

This is the rule to apply when reading any quote. An agency can legitimately work on a brand's content, structured data and authority. It cannot promise you a place in the answer of a model whose data and updates it does not control. Audience figures also circulate at great speed: Alphabet announced 2 billion monthly users for AI Overviews in the second quarter of 2025, and OpenAI mentioned 800 million weekly users for ChatGPT in October 2025. These are announcements by the companies themselves and should be read as such.

How to choose a GEO agency: the criteria grid

Six criteria make it possible to compare offers that, seen from the outside, all look alike.

  • An explicit method: audit, content, structured data, monitoring. If the provider cannot describe its steps, it cannot reproduce them.
  • Measurement on real queries, the ones your clients actually ask, not on a generic list.
  • Testing in French, German and English, since that is the reality of your market.
  • The distinction between share of mention (your brand is named) and share of citation (your site is cited as a source).
  • Solid SEO foundations: without them, GEO goes nowhere.
  • Dated deliverables and a refusal to promise any guaranteed result.

One last reflex: ask for verifiable proof, meaning measurements you can rerun yourself, not isolated screenshots.

Who does what in Luxembourg: what each agency says

The offer is still limited to a handful of players active in Luxembourg. The table below sets out, without any rating or ranking, what each agency states on its own website.

NEO Agency

According to its website, NEO Agency is a web and digital marketing agency set up in 2021 within the Editus group and based in Kayl. Its dedicated GEO page defines the discipline as structuring content and authority in order to be cited by ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and Copilot. The agency states that GEO does not replace SEO but builds on it, and claims an approach “avec des faits, sans promesses magiques” (“with facts, without magic promises”). It combines GEO with its SEO offer, local presence (Editus MyBusiness) and data (Editus Insight), and has also supported clients with ChatGPT Ads since the launch in Luxembourg on 24 August 2026. On that last point, our guide to advertising on ChatGPT explains how it works.

Agence SEO Luxembourg (agence-seo.lu)

Agence SEO Luxembourg, online at agence-seo.lu, offers organic search optimisation, local SEO and GEO to companies doing business in Luxembourg. According to its website, its GEO approach rests on four levers: letting in the right crawlers (distinguishing OAI-SearchBot, which makes a site appear in ChatGPT search, from GPTBot, used for training), an unambiguous company identity, passages that assistants can reuse, and third-party sources, all built on SEO foundations. For measurement, the agency says it reruns a list of client questions every month in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and AI Overviews, noting who is cited instead of the company. It states that a citation in ChatGPT cannot be guaranteed, and offers a free, no-commitment audit as a first step.

Knewledge

Knewledge is a digital marketing agency based in Steinfort. Its website lists GEO among its areas of expertise, alongside SEO (audit, keywords, local SEO), SEA, social ads, programmatic and content marketing. GEO is therefore presented as one component of a broader set of services. On 22 October 2025 the agency published a guide on choosing a GEO agency in Luxembourg, which you can read as a provider's point of view.

20 More

20 More, registered with the RCS Luxembourg (Trade and Companies Register) under number B280426, presents itself as a Luxembourg GEO/AEO agency. It says it measures how ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini and Copilot describe and recommend a company, in French, German and English, using real prompts. It distinguishes share of mention from share of citation. The agency offers a free “Snapshot” and a diagnostic billed at €950, both prices displayed on its website.

Transform IT

Transform IT, based on avenue de la Liberté in Luxembourg, describes itself as a digital agency for SMEs: marketing, SEO and GEO, websites, branding, cloud and managed IT services. Its GEO service is summed up by the phrase “soyez visible aussi sur ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity” (“be visible on ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity too”). The agency places it within an all-round digital offer, which may suit an SME looking for a single point of contact for its website, its hosting and its visibility.

Questions to ask before signing

Whichever agency you consider, ask the same questions, in writing, and compare the answers:

  1. What is your method, step by step, and what deliverables will I receive?
  2. On which queries do you measure my visibility, and in which languages?
  3. Do you distinguish mention from citation, and how is the indicator calculated?
  4. What is the quantified starting point, and how often is monitoring reported?
  5. How does your work fit with my current SEO, and what happens if a Google update changes the picture? Our guide to checks before a core update helps frame this point.
  6. What do you refuse to promise?

A serious agency answers these questions directly, and the last one is the most revealing: an agency that promises a guaranteed result has either not understood the subject, or is hoping you have not.

What a first month should deliver, and what you can do this week

A serious first month of collaboration produces an assessment, not a miracle: an audit of your visibility in AI assistants on a list of queries agreed with you, a quantified starting point for each language, the list of content and pages to rework, and a monitoring schedule. The gains are measured over the following months.

Even before contacting a GEO agency in Luxembourg, you can act on your own:

Draw up a list of 20 questions your clients actually ask, in French, German and English, then put them to several assistants and note whether your company is named or cited. This in-house measurement, repeated every month, will give you an independent benchmark for judging the figures the agency presents to you.

Frequently asked questions

What is GEO and how does it differ from SEO?

GEO, or Generative Engine Optimization, aims to increase the visibility of content in the answers of generative engines, according to the study presented at KDD 2024. SEO aims for a position on a results page. The two complement each other: NEO Agency states that GEO builds on SEO rather than replacing it.

Can an agency guarantee that ChatGPT will cite my company?

No. The KDD 2024 study reports a visibility gain of up to 40%, but under benchmark conditions, with effectiveness varying by domain. No guarantee is therefore established for your site. Be wary of any promise of an assured result and ask instead for a method and monitoring indicators.

Why test visibility in French, German and English?

Because your Luxembourg clientele uses several languages and assistants may answer differently depending on the language of the question. 20 More, for example, says it measures visibility in French, German and English. Ask any agency whether its audit covers your three working languages.

What is the difference between share of mention and share of citation?

Share of mention measures how often your brand is named in the answers of AI assistants. Share of citation measures how often your site is cited as a source. 20 More says it distinguishes between these two indicators. Ask your provider how it calculates them and how often it updates them.

How much does a GEO diagnostic cost in Luxembourg?

Public prices are rare. 20 More lists a free Snapshot and a diagnostic at €950 on its website. For the other agencies mentioned, Beast Magazine found no public price list. Ask for a detailed quote specifying the deliverables, the languages covered and the frequency of monitoring.
